At Honne we guide organizations through their Digital Transformation through cloud solutions,
Data Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence. With a consultative, results-driven approach, we help
optimize processes, reduce costs, and improve operations for our clients across different
industries.
In this case we share how we supported Dentalia in their migration to the AWS cloud.
About the client
Dentalia is one of the leading players in dental health in Mexico, with an integrated model for
both individual patients and businesses. Present in multiple cities, it delivers high-quality,
comprehensive dental health services through an innovative model that combines technology,
modern infrastructure, and specialists. Their continued growth has led them to seek technology
partners that support their expansion and ensure operational continuity.
The challenge
Their rapid national growth put the capacity of their on-premise infrastructure to the test. The
increase in the number of locations and patients generated greater demands for processing,
storage, and security that their local servers could not support efficiently — resulting in high
operational costs, lack of flexibility, and risks to business continuity.

Honne’s solution
We designed and implemented a Lift-and-Shift migration strategy to Amazon Web Services,
replicating servers and databases without modifying the application’s code or architecture. The
new architecture included Amazon EC2, AWS WAF, daily backups with DRP, private
connectivity through a Site-to-Site VPN, and high availability with geographic redundancy.
Benefits
● Efficiency: Elimination of 30% of unnecessary servers, optimizing the infrastructure.
● Cost savings: Migration 100% covered by AWS incentives, with an initial investment of
$0 USD.
● Scalability: Flexible infrastructure that adapts to business growth, with pay-as-you-go
pricing.
● Security and continuity: Automated backups, geographic redundancy, and advanced
threat protection.
● Operational optimization: 94% of servers now run at less than 20% CPU usage,
maximizing resource efficiency.
